BASIC architecture + interiors Receives Architectural Contract for Turnpike Church of Christ

BASIC architecture + interiors (BAI) is pleased to announce that the firm has been awarded a contract for Architectural and Interior Design services for Turnpike Church of Christ in Grand Prairie, Texas.

After 50 years in its present location, just south of I-30 in Grand Prairie, Texas, the Turnpike Church of Christ (TCOC) has purchased a 10 acre site with plans to build a new 800 seat Multi-Purpose Worship facility, Education space for all ages, administrative offices and related support spaces.

Upon relocation the church will start re-branding with a name change to CrossPoint Church of Christ. Groundbreaking is anticipated in late 2010.

Retrospect is AIA Dallas’ opportunity to introduce architects and architecture to the public with over 50 display pieces. The exhibit further informs the public of the many endeavors of AIA Dallas and the benefits and contributions that quality design has on the built environment and many other aspects of our lives.

BASIC architecture + interiors entered two built church projects for the Worship Facilities Conference and Expo Solomon Awards for 2009. The Solomon Awards recognize churches and their partners for excellence in facilities design, building, operations, use and technical production.

BASIC submitted Prestonwood Baptist Church - North Campus in Prosper, Texas and Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas for the BEST CHURCH DESIGN: NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
